Guild colors

Post by Boris »

Rule wrote:Guilds can apply for a unique color, to do so your guild must have at least 10 active members on 10 different accounts (active members are players who put a lot of time and effort into the game), all members of your guild must show above average role play skill at all time. If you feel your guild can live up to these requirements you can apply for a color by sending a PM to Admin Boris, with the names of your guild and location (use .where) of the guild stone.
I'm quite sure we have even at the moment guilds, who can send an application. If so, do send me a PM. The staff votes if you deserve colors or not. It's not just members + good RP. Atleast I require some sort of fame and guild activities from the applicant(s). Here's an application you can send my at any time.

You can basicly write anything to free word. Perhaps why you think you deserve the colors, list of guild activities, guild desciption, whatever. The longer, the better.

Maybe slightly out of topic- what's the requirement to have a guild forum here?

Once you meet said requirements, do you have to keep them to keep the colors?

Does this retroactively apply to pre-existing guilds who have colors, but no longer have 10 active accounts?

Do guilds who no longer RP according to these standards "lose" their coloring?

Are religions upheld to the same standards of 10+ members and exemplary RP to keep their colors?

Are they any examples of currently active guilds with 10+ members and above-average RP and guild colors?

Yes.

If the guilds doesn't meet the requirements in the future, the colors won't be automatically taken away. I'll start continuesly warning about a low number of members and time will be given to strengthen the guild.

Everyone needs to RP, guild or not. Guild color on the other hands requires above average RP so the standards are higher. It's no biggie to anyone. Just stay in character and follow the rules Pangaea has. If/when people go out of the line, the guildmaster will be approached and warned about member x spamming "trololololol" around Britian.
Milkbags wrote:Are religions upheld to the same standards of 10+ members and exemplary RP to keep their colors?
Religions have automatic colors, but their RP is monitored even closer and when punished, they take a big blow by loosing x amount of piety.

Mnope.

The requirements of guild colors are no big issue. I'm quite sure 99% of the playerbase knows what RP stands for. I would say posting RP on boards is already above average RP as you're doing something extra voluntarily. RP has never been a factor. If you have the members and they know/can roleplay, you're pretty much on clear waters already. Then comes the question, what makes your guild a guild? Do you have political views, do you have guild activities, do you have some sort of fame? Basicly are you "just" a bunch of guys with the same tag on your head or are you a bunch of guys with an actual cause? I do remember cases with 20-30 members in a guild with above average RP, but no activities. Just a bunch of guys macroing in their houses, doing nothing. If a guild has zero impact on the shard, it's stands for nothing and they deserve nothing (extra).

I'll expose one situation:

This idea is for mainly merchants guild.
Imagine I have a guild already with colors. It's possible to offer our custormers one body sash with our guild color when they become customers? Something like a reward for choosing our high quality pieces.

is this possible or guild colors are only for guild members?

Strictly only for guild members. If guild colors are seen on other players then guildmaster is usually warned and if violated several times guild colors can be taken away because of that.

Too strict imo, we should be allowed to have more fun with the colors. I know its not gonna' happen, just an opinion.
