I think it gears the shard even more towards PvP and I dont like the fact that if you opt out you are punished i.eMonad wrote: Can I ask what are the reasons why you wouldn't want to be a citizen of the town you have house in? I'm not saying you should but we're trying to make this a benefical system instead non-benefical, so I'd like to hear the reasons if someone feels like it's not benefical system.
1. Guards dont give that much protection
2. Can't buy the same goods from vendors
3. Higher prices for vendors
4. No access to the town perks
If you are becoming a citizen of a town then you are also automatically becoming someones enemy- who can attack and kill you for that sole reason(?).
So its either;
1) Become a citizen and make enemies, increasing the chance of being involved in PvP
2) Dont become a citizen and suffer penalties
I would prefer it if there was one town that remained ownerless, was protected by guards and was just a 'normal' town. Perhaps New Haven would make sense.
Not everyone will be in favour of the new system and some will want to avoid it completely whereever possible.
