Contacting the staff

We often receive messages from players, asking for help, regarding connection or client problems. 90% of the message lack basic information, needed to even begin to help you.

Before you contact a staff member for help, we expect that you have checked the FAQ and the shard announcement forum for relevant information’s regarding your problem.

Here is a list of what you must inform us when asking for our assistance.

If you have a client problem or a connection problem:

          1. Your version of UO (AoS, LBR, SE, ML etc)
          2. Your client version (4.0.7c, 5.0.2c etc)
          3. Are you using any special customized client or are you using the no_crypt_client created by UO-RICE based on a normal updated client achieve through UO-patch?
          4. Are you running the game in 2D or 3D?

If you have a lag problem:

          1. Your version of UO (AoS, LBR, SE, ML etc)
          2. Your client version (4.0.7c, 5.0.2c etc)
          3. Are you using any special customized client or are you using the no_crypt_client created by UO-RICE based on a normal updated client achieve through UO-patch.exe?
          4. Are you running the game in 2D or 3D?
          5. Describe the type of lag (random spikes, how long does these spikes last)
          6. When did you first notice the lag problems?
          7. How long has this been a problem?
          8. Are you sure no one from the same Internet connection is downloading files, sending or receiving larger email etc.
          9. General hardware specification (CPU speed, RAM)
          10. Your Internet connection speed (512K download / 128K upload)
          11. Are you having this lag problem with both the 2D and 3D client?
          12. Are you having this lag problem with the latest client?
          13. A trace route created with UOTraceRoute, with at least 50 polls/pkt
